Accounting Manager

• Lead and oversee the day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring efficient service delivery and the timely, accurate completion of accounting activities.
• Maintain overall accountability for the accuracy and timeliness of premium invoicing, claims payments, fund distributions, supplier payments, and related accounting processes.
• Lead month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring timely completion of reconciliations, financial reports, and supporting schedules.
• Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and timely submission of claims and premium bordereaux, management reports, and other reporting requirements.
• Lead and coordinate annual audits, and other financial or compliance reviews, ensuring audit readiness and prompt resolution of findings.
• Maintain a strong control environment and ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and governance expectations.
• Lead, coach, and develop team members while managing workload, resources, and operational priorities to achieve departmental objectives.
• Serve as the primary contact for auditors, underwriters, brokers, banks, and other stakeholders, while partnering closely with the CFO in Norway and internal departments to strengthen operational efficiency, reporting, controls, and process improvements.

Qualification and skills:

• Certified Public Accountant
• Fluency in English both oral and written
• 2 years' experience in a supervisory or management role
• 5 years of progressive experience in general accounting, audit or shared service industry.
• Strong accounting, financial reporting, and analytical skills.
• Good leadership and people management abilities.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and results-driven.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and accounting systems.
