ACCOUNTING MANAGER

About the role

We are looking for an experienced, dependable, and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to lead our accounting team and help ensure the accuracy and timely completion of financial transactions and reports.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and guide the accounting team in their daily activities
• Review accounts payable, disbursements, payroll, crew allotments, and fund requests
• Monitor invoicing, statements of account, collections, and account reconciliations
• Review bank reconciliations and daily cash-balance reports
• Ensure that accounting transactions are accurately and completely recorded
• Monitor deadlines and resolve outstanding or unreconciled accounts
• Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
• Coordinate with auditors, banks, suppliers, clients, and government agencies
• Ensure compliance with BIR, SEC, and other regulatory requirements
• Strengthen internal controls and recommend improvements to accounting procedures

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or a related field
• CPA qualification is an advantage but not required
• At least three to five years of relevant accounting experience, including supervisory or team-lead experience
• Strong knowledge of general accounting, payroll, taxation, bank reconciliation, financial reporting, and audit preparation
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
• Strong leadership, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Able to manage multiple deadlines and work effectively under pressure
• Trustworthy, professional, and capable of handling confidential financial information
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Experience in a manning, shipping, or maritime company is an advantage
