Accounting Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join DELIX INTERNATIONAL COMPANY LIMITED in Wan Chai. This is a full-time position that plays a critical strategic role in managing our financial operations and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our accounting functions. As Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the accounting department, driving financial compliance, and providing essential insights to support the company's financial decision-making and growth objectives.

What you'll be doing

• Supervise and manage the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger and financial reporting
• Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements
• Oversee the month-end and year-end closing processes, reconciling accounts and ensuring timely and accurate reporting
• Manage the general ledger, ensuring proper classification and recording of all financial transactions
• Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures and controls to improve operational efficiency and maintain strong internal governance
• Lead, mentor and supervise accounting staff, providing guidance on technical accounting matters and supporting their professional development
• Liaise with external auditors and support the audit process, responding to queries and providing necessary documentation
• Prepare financial analyses and management reports to support strategic business decisions
• Monitor and control departmental budgets and expenditure
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and coordinate with tax advisors as needed

What we're looking for

• Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, ICAEW, CPA or equivalent recognised qualification)
• Minimum 5-7 years of post-qualification experience in accounting management or senior accounting roles
• Proven experience in financial reporting, accounts management and financial control
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices and relevant regulatory requirements
• Demonstrated experience in managing and leading accounting teams
• Proficiency with accounting software and financial systems; experience with ERP systems is advantageous
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant accounting tools
• Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with colleagues across all levels
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure whilst maintaining accuracy
• Knowledge of Hong Kong tax and accounting requirements is preferred
