We're seeking a meticulous and disciplined Accounting Manager who thrives in a stable environment, values consistency, and brings a deep sense of responsibility to their work. This position offers a strong framework, clear expectations, and an opportunity to lead with technical expertise while being a key part of our finance team.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, receivable, and financial reporting.
  • Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements for both parent and client entities.
  • Maintain the company’s fixed asset system and perform reconciliations.
  • Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, tax filings, and benefit-related accounting entries.
  • Oversee the preparation of IRS forms, W-2s, 1099s, and assist with audits and compliance.
  • Guide a small accounting team with precision, clarity, and expectations grounded in procedure.
  • Coordinate 401(k) plan submissions, testing, and audit schedules.
  • Maintain compliance with internal controls and company policies.

What Success Looks Like

You’ll bring structure, discipline, and technical strength to your work. You’ll ensure numbers are accurate, reports are timely, and your team operates with the same rigor. You’ll work well with others who value quality and take pride in getting it right the first time.

Your Strengths and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • Minimum 5 years of accounting experience
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and accounting software (prior experience with payroll uploads and journal entries required)
  • Deep knowledge of accounting principles, payroll tax laws, and audit preparation
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and accuracy in all financial matters
  • Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Valid driver’s license

What We Value in This Role

The ideal candidate will be:

  • Formal and reserved, yet deeply professional
  • Disciplined, with high standards of accuracy
  • Reliable, preferring clarity and established structure
  • Cautious but confident in their area of expertise
  • Motivated by consistency, appreciation for competence, and working in a professional environment
