Accounting Manager

The Accounting Manager role is a hands-on, individual contributor position based in Wilsonville, Oregon. This role is ideal for an experienced accounting professional who enjoys problem-solving, process improvement, and taking ownership of key accounting functions. Working closely with the Financial Controller, the Accounting Manager will play a vital role in ensuring accurate financial operations and reporting, supporting business decisions, and driving process enhancements.

Responsibilities

• Lead key aspects of the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, supporting schedules, and general ledger activity
• Analyze financial information to identify discrepancies, investigate unusual transactions, and resolve accounting issues
• Prepare financial reports, schedules, and analyses for internal and external stakeholders
• Take ownership of accounting projects from research through resolution
• Collaborate with teams across the organization to research transactions and address accounting questions
• Identify and implement opportunities to improve accounting processes, internal controls, documentation, and reporting
• Support audit, tax, year-end reporting, and other accounting requirements
• Develop a strong understanding of operational and accounting processes, including ERP systems
• Report directly to the Financial Controller and work primarily in-office at the Wilsonville location

Qualifications

• 6+ years of progressively responsible accounting experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting, month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting
• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred; significant relevant experience may be considered
• Advanced Excel skills, including experience with PivotTables, lookup functions, and data analysis tools
• Experience with ERP or accounting systems; NetSuite experience is a plus
• Experience in high-transaction-volume, multi-location, or multi-entity environments is a plus
• Analytical mindset with the ability to independently research and resolve issues
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities
• Ability to exercise sound judgment in determining when to escalate issues
• CPA certification is a plus but not required

Compensation

$90,000 $110,000 per year
Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
