Accounting Manager

About the Role

We are looking for a hands-on Accounting Manager to oversee day-to-day accounting, manage month-end closing, and prepare financial reports for our Philippines business and other group entities.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys keeping accounts organized, making financial information clear, and improving how things are done. You will work closely with management and receive support from external accountants and tax advisers on local compliance and tax matters.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting and keep accurate, up-to-date records
• Lead month-end closing and prepare monthly financial reports.
• Oversee bank reconciliations, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and expense records.
• Review and reconcile sales, collections, inventory, and other key account balances.
• Support accounting and reporting across group entities, including intercompany reconciliations.
• Help management understand business performance, expenses, and cash flow.
• Assist with budgets, forecasts, and budget tracking.
• Coordinate with external accountants, tax advisers, and auditors, providing records and supporting documents as needed.
• Maintain clear finance procedures and help improve everyday accounting workflows.

What We’re Looking For

• A bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field.
• Around 5 years or more of relevant accounting experience, including full-cycle accounting and month-end closing.
• Hands-on experience with Xero.
• Good Excel or Google Sheets skills.
• Familiarity with Philippine bookkeeping and local finance processes.
• Good written and spoken English.
• A practical, organized approach, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and with others.

Experience in a senior accounting role, working with multiple entities, or supporting a retail, e-commerce, or similar business would be helpful. CPA certification is welcome but not required. Xero experience is largely appreciated.
