WE’RE HIRING: ACCOUNTING MANAGER – IMPORTATION

Cleanfuel is looking for an experienced and hands-on Accounting Manager to handle our accounting operations, with a focus on importation, inventory, and cost accounting.

The ideal candidate has strong accounting experience and a good understanding of importation transactions, inventory costing, and financial reporting. Experience in importation, trading, manufacturing, or other inventory-based businesses is highly preferred.

A CPA license is required for this position.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

As our Accounting Manager, you will:

• Handle the accounting and recording of import-related transactions from start to finish.
• Coordinate with the Importation and Procurement teams to make sure transactions and supporting documents are complete and accurate.
• Review landed costs, including purchase price, freight, customs duties, taxes, brokerage, and other related charges.
• Ensure importation costs are properly recorded and included in inventory valuation.
• Review reconciliations for suppliers, inventory, import-related accounts, and general ledger balances.
• Check journal entries, schedules, and other accounting documents for accuracy.
• Oversee the monthly closing and financial reporting process.
• Prepare financial statements, management reports, and analyses related to inventory and importation costs.
• Investigate inventory variances, costing differences, and unusual account movements.
• Coordinate with external auditors and provide the necessary schedules and supporting documents.
• Help improve accounting procedures, controls, and reporting processes.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, government requirements, and company policies.
• Look for ways to improve accounting processes and make reporting more accurate and efficient.
• Supervise and guide members of the accounting team.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• CPA license is required
• At least 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience
• Experience in importation, trading, manufacturing, inventory, or cost accounting is highly preferred
• Strong knowledge of general accounting, financial reporting, reconciliations, and inventory costing
• Good understanding of landed costs, including freight, duties, taxes, brokerage, and other import-related charges
• Experience in improving accounting processes and internal controls
• Working knowledge of ERP/accounting systems; SAP experience is a strong advantage
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Able to work accurately and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
