About the Role
We're looking for an experienced CPA to serve as our part-time Accounting Manager. This is a great fit for a seasoned accounting professional who wants meaningful, hands-on work with a growing company, along with the flexibility of a part-time, hybrid schedule. You'll own our accounting function and work closely with leadership to keep our finances accurate, organized, and well-understood.

Responsibilities

• Manage the monthly and year-end close process
• Prepare and review financial statements, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and collections
• Review payroll and ensure accurate reporting
• Reconcile bank, credit card, and balance sheet accounts
• Monitor cash flow and help with budgeting and forecasting
• Track project costs and job profitability
• Coordinate with outside tax preparers and auditors as needed
• Maintain internal controls and recommend process improvements
• Provide financial insight to leadership to support business decisions

Required Qualifications

• Active CPA license
• 5+ years of accounting experience, including management or full-cycle responsibility
• Strong knowledge of GAAP
• Experience with Quickbooks
• Highly organized, self-directed, and comfortable working independently
• Able to work on-site in Venice, FL 1 day per week

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with small or mid-sized businesses
• Background in manufacturing, construction, equipment sales, or project-based accounting

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 per week
