As part of our vision to become one of Europe’s three most successful fashion retailers in 2026, we are looking for an Accounting Manager to join our rapidly growing group’s new company in Syria .

Job Description

• Manage the finance and accounting department, covering accounting and tax, treasury and payments, management reporting, and ERP applications,
• Ensure that daily accounting records are maintained in compliance with local legislation, company procedures, and required approval mechanisms,
• Ensure that all periodic tax returns are prepared accurately and submitted on time to the tax authorities, social security institution, and other relevant government bodies,
• Ensure that automated integrations related to cash and inventory cycles operate accurately and continuously,
• Prepare all periodic management reports in accordance with the company’s IFRS-based accounting and reporting standards, applying the accrual basis of accounting,
• Prepare the annual budget, periodic cash flow forecasts, and other financial projections,
• Monitor daily cash transactions and review summary cash reports and cash-count sheets,
• Ensure that daily accounting records are reconciled with bank records and account statements,
• Implement treasury, capital expenditure, insurance, finance, and accounting procedures established by the head office,
• Manage the company’s payment processes and coordinate contractual and legal matters with lawyers,
• Manage government inspections as well as internal and external audit processes,
• Demonstrate proficiency in the ERP and financial software used by the company, identify required system improvements, and submit the relevant requests.

QualificationsEducation and Language Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Public Finance, or a related field,
• Ability to use Arabic and Turkish effectively, both written and spoken,
• Sufficient proficiency to understand English.

Professional Experience and Expertise

• At least 10 years of experience in similar positions,
• Knowledge and experience in manufacturing accounting,
• Proficiency in textile manufacturing software,
• Experience in managing integrated cash and inventory systems in the retail sector,
• Experience working within a matrix organizational structure, with the ability to report directly to the Country Manager and functionally to the Finance Director at the head office.
