Accounting Manager

Hello Luxembourg,

We are currently looking for a Senior Accountant – Finance Automation & SAP (minimum 4 years of experience ) for a long-term assignment with one of our clients in the financial sector.

We are looking for a hybrid profile combining strong hands-on accounting expertise with an interest in IT, automation and process improvement .

Your main responsibilities

• Independently manage one or more accounting areas.
• Perform month-end closings and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare and post accounting entries directly in SAP .
• Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and intercompany differences.
• Support statutory audits and improve accounting data quality.
• Identify repetitive accounting tasks that could be automated.
• Develop or improve automation processes using RPA, Power Automate, n8n or AI agents .
• Contribute to continuous improvement of financial processes and systems.

Your profile

• Minimum 4 years of experience in financial accounting.
• Strong hands-on experience in month-end closing, reconciliations and journal entries.
• Good knowledge of IFRS and general accounting principles.
• Practical experience with SAP highly desirable.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Strong interest in technology, automation and artificial intelligence.
• Experience with RPA, Power Automate, n8n, Power Query or AI agents would be a significant advantage.
• Fluent professional English is mandatory.
• Ability to work independently in an international environment.
