Accounting Manager

Accounting Manager | Real Estate & Property Management | Johnson County, KS | ~$100K

Chief of Staff is partnering with a well-established, family-owned real estate company in Johnson County to find their next Accounting Manager. They’ve been building, developing, and managing properties across the Midwest for over a century, with a portfolio centered on multifamily apartment communities along with commercial and retail properties.

This is a chance to step into a key leadership seat at a stable, respected company with a structured handoff from the current accounting leader.

What you’ll do:

• Own the full accounting function for a multi-property real estate portfolio
• Lead and support a small team, including an AP/office administration role
• Report directly to the VP of Operations and partner closely with property management
• Bring a tech-forward mindset to help the company run more efficiently, including an upcoming property management software transition
• Learn the business through hands-on cross-training with the outgoing accounting leader

What they’re looking for:

• 5–10 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in property management or real estate
• Experience with RealPage, Yardi, and/or QuickBooks is a strong plus
• Corporate or larger-company experience is valued
• A positive, calm, no-excuses approach and a strong team-first personality
• Someone who is early to mid-career and excited to make the role their own

• Salary up to around $100K for the right candidate
