ACCOUNTING MANAGER

Key Responsibilities:

• Local Tax Compliance: Oversee the monthly/quarterly computation, filing, and payment of all local taxes, including CIT, 12% VAT, Expanded Withholding Tax (EWT), Final Withholding Tax (FWT), and Percentage Tax, ensuring strict compliance with the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR).
• Import & Customs Tax Management: Manage the calculation of import duties and Import VAT. Facilitate the application of applicable tax incentives and exemptions.
• Invoicing & Tax Compliance Review: Supervise the compliance of Official Receipts (OR) and Sales Invoices (SI) issuance. Ensure alignment between front-end business data and the financial system to mitigate tax risks.
• ERP Tax Module Management: Maintain tax master data within the Yonyou ERP system. Ensure accurate tax configurations across procurement, sales, and expense reimbursement modules to achieve business-finance-tax integration.
• External Liaison & Audit Handling: Act as the primary point of contact with the BIR, Bureau of Customs (BOC), and external tax advisors. Handle tax audits, assessments, and tax refund claims.
• Full-Set Accounting & ERP Operations: Oversee end-to-end accounting operations including procurement, sales, expense reimbursements, and inventory. Ensure accurate journal entry, approval, and posting in the Yonyou ERP system, and guarantee timely month-end closing.
• Revenue & Cash Reconciliation: Consolidate and verify sales data from various business lines. Manage bank transfers and cash collections, oversee daily cash deposits, and prepare regular fund reconciliation reports to ensure cash-to-book accuracy.
• AP/AR & Inventory Management: Handle Accounts Payable (AP) for cross-border procurement and conduct vendor reconciliations. Monitor Accounts Receivable (AR) and inventory records, organize periodic stocktakes, and ensure inventory accuracy.
• Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare standalone and consolidated financial statements on time. Utilize Excel to analyze operational data and budget execution, providing actionable insights for management decision-making.
• Process Optimization: Review and optimize existing financial SOPs based on business characteristics to enhance overall accounting efficiency.
• Team Management & Audit Support: Mentor and train junior accounting staff and allocate daily tasks. Coordinate with external auditors, internal compliance checks, and tax authorities by providing accurate financial working papers and data.

Qualifications:

1. Education & Certification: Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or Financial Management. CPA License is preferred.
2. Experience: Minimum 5 years of full-set accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory/team lead role. Prior experience in retail chain financial management or import/export accounting is highly preferred.
3. Technical Skills: Solid knowledge of Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS) and Chinese Accounting Standards. Familiar with retail cash flow and inventory management logic. Advanced Excel skills for data processing and reporting are required.
4. System Proficiency: Proficient in operating the Yonyou ERP system. Experience in backend system configuration and daily troubleshooting is a strong plus.
5. Language Skills: Strong reading and writing skills in both English and Chinese to handle English procurement contracts, invoices, and daily business correspondence.
