Accounting Manager

We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented person to support daily finance operations, project accounting, and monthly closing activities for Eentier Sdn Bhd. As our power generation project advances through its development phase, this role will be instrumental in executing payment operations, tracking project costs, maintaining full sets of accounts, and assisting with MFRS-compliant financial reporting. The ideal candidate brings strong operational accounting experience within capital-intensive sectors and thrives in a fast-paced, multinational project environment.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Project Cost Control & CAPEX reporting: Support the Head of Finance in monitoring project expenditure against approved budgets, maintaining project-level cost schedules and work-in-progress (WIP) reconciliations, and validating the accuracy of capitalized costs. Prepare periodic budget variance analysis, cash burn reports, and project cost forecasts, ensuring timely identification and escalation of cost overruns, misallocations, and capitalization issues. Maintain supporting documentation and ensure compliance with MFRS 116 and MFRS 123.
• Full Sets & Management Accounts: Assist in handling full sets of accounts, preparing monthly management accounts, and drafting financial schedules in accordance with MFRS and group accounting policies.
• Month-End & Year-End Closing: Support the monthly and year-end closing processes, including bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, and financial analysis schedules.
• Payment Operations & Compliance: Manage daily payment processing, disbursements, and vendor invoices within established company frameworks, approval limits, and internal control policies.
• Project Cost Tracking: Support project cost control by tracking development expenses, capital expenditures (CapEx), and intercompany transactions.
• Audit & Regulatory Support: Prepare schedules for external auditors, assist in drafting annual audited financial statements, and support statutory tax and regulatory compliance tasks.

JOB QUALIFICARTIONS

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent.
• Work Experience: Minimum 6–8 years of experience in core accounting operations, including payment processing, financial statement preparation, project cost tracking, and basic tax/regulatory compliance.
• Industry & Systems Exposure: Experience in the Energy, Power, or Infrastructure sector is preferred. Hands-on exposure to enterprise ERP systems such as Oracle or SAP is a major advantage.
• Technical Knowledge: Working knowledge of MFRS/IFRS standards, basic statutory compliance, and end-to-end bookkeeping procedures.
• Communication & Environment: Good command of written and spoken English with experience working in a corporate or multinational company (MNC) setting.
• Work Style: Meticulous, organized, and eager to learn in a hands-on project development environment.
