About the role

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to join our team at our Naga City Camarines Sur location on a full-time basis. This is a strategic position within our Finance department, responsible for overseeing all accounting operations and ensuring the financial health of the organisation. As Accounting Manager, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounting staff, and providing critical financial insights to support business decision-making. This position reports to the Finance Director and is essential to the company's continued growth and operational success.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with accounting standards
• Manage and supervise the accounting team, including recruitment, training, performance management and professional development
• Implement and maintain effective internal controls and accounting procedures to ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements
• Conduct bank reconciliations and manage cash flow analysis to optimize working capital
• Prepare and analyze financial reports, budgets and forecasts to support management decision-making
• Liaise with external auditors and tax authorities to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement systems enhancements to increase efficiency and accuracy
• Manage fixed asset records and coordinate depreciation schedules
• Monitor and control departmental expenses and budgets

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field

• Minimum 3-5 years of post-qualification experience in accounting management or a similar supervisory role

• Proven expertise in financial statement preparation, budgeting and financial analysis

• Strong knowledge of accounting software and systems, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Demonstrated experience in managing and developing accounting teams

• Excellent understanding of internal controls, compliance requirements and audit procedures

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to present financial information clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

• Ability to work independently, prioritise multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines

• Knowledge of Philippine accounting standards and tax regulations is beneficial
