We are looking for someone with strong technical accounting skills, attention to detail, leadership capabilities, and the ability to work closely with our Importation and Procurement teams.

What Will Be Your Role?

As an Accounting Manager, you will:

  • Report directly to the Director and work closely with the Importation and Procurement teams on accounting and financial matters.
  • Oversee the accounting and recording of importation-related transactions, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Monitor and review importation-related costs, including purchase costs, freight, duties, taxes, brokerage fees, and other applicable charges.
  • Ensure the proper recording and allocation of importation costs for accurate inventory costing and financial reporting.
  • Reconcile import-related accounts, supplier balances, inventory records, and other related accounts.
  • Review supporting documents and accounting entries related to importation transactions.
  • Oversee the monthly financial closing process and ensure that all transactions are properly recorded and reported.
  • Prepare accurate Financial Statements, management reports, and importation-related financial analyses.
  • Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger balances to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Monitor inventory and cost-related accounts and investigate discrepancies and variances.
  • Support external audits and provide the necessary accounting schedules and documentation.
  • Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to improve accuracy and efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax requirements, government regulations, and company policies.
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting, controls, and operational efficiency.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team to achieve departmental goals.

What You Bring to the Table:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • At least 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably with exposure to importation, trading, manufacturing, inventory, or cost accounting.
  • CPA is an advantage but not required.
  • Hands-on experience in importation-related accounting, inventory accounting, or cost accounting is highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, account reconciliation, inventory costing, and general accounting operations.
  • Familiarity with import-related costs such as freight, duties, taxes, brokerage, and other landed costs.
  • Experience in process improvement and implementing internal controls.
  • Experience using ERP systems and accounting software, preferably SAP.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work accurately and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Must Haves:

  • Strong accounting and financial management experience.
  • Importation accounting experience is highly preferred.
  • Solid operational and technical accounting background.
  • Strong understanding of inventory and cost accounting.
  • Ability to analyze and reconcile importation-related transactions and costs.
  • Strong leadership skills and experience managing or supervising an accounting team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, ERP systems, and SAP.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, accountability, and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with Importation, Procurement, Finance, and other departments.
