Accounting Officer

Job Summary:
The Accounting Officer is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory and fixed asset records, processing accounting transactions, preparing financial reports, and ensuring timely submission of reports related to inventory, insurance, and intercompany transactions. The role supports the Finance team by ensuring the accuracy and completeness of accounting records in compliance with company policies and accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and submit the Weekly Undelivered Report accurately and within the required timeline.
• Process and post Item Journal (IJ) transactions, excluding supplies-related entries.
• Prepare and post Inventory Reclassification and Inventory Adjustment to Expense journal entries.
• Prepare and submit the Monthly Marine and Stock Declarations for insurance purposes.
• Prepare and post Journal Vouchers (JV) for shared expenses charged to non-NIC Group affiliates.
• Prepare Statements of Account (SOA) for non-NIC Group affiliates and PU owners.
• Review and post Audit PIJ transactions and reconcile/apply affiliate payments.
• Prepare, update, and maintain the Inventory Report, ensuring the accuracy of inventory balances.
• Create and maintain Fixed Asset Records, including monitoring and updating the depreciation schedule.
• Prepare and maintain the Fixed Asset Report.
• Ensure accounting records are accurate, complete, and compliant with company policies and accounting standards.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Accounting Technology, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of relevant accounting experience for the role
• Knowledge of general accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP systems.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills with keen attention to detail.
• Able to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
