Accounting Officer

Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented and highly organized Accounting Officer to support our finance operations. This role is responsible for managing liability and expense accounts, ensuring timely tax compliance, and maintaining accurate financial records aligned with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

·         Prepare and analyze schedules of general ledger accounts related to liabilities and expenses

·         Review disbursement vouchers and BIR Form 2307 prepared by the Accounting Specialist to ensure accuracy and compliance

·         Handle documentary stamps tax (DST) and withholding tax filings and remittances in accordance with BIR regulations

·         Perform bank reconciliations for collection accounts and ensure accuracy of recorded transactions

·         Monitor employee-related accounts, including cash advances, SSS and Pag-ibig loan deductions

·         Prepare and review month-end and year-end general ledger entries prior to management approval

·         Maintain proper filing of journal vouchers and supporting documentation for audit readiness

·         Assist the Accounting Head during external audits and ensure timely submission of requirements

·         Support data gathering and documentation for BIR assessments and compliance reviews

·         Oversee annual registration of Books of Accounts for Head Office and branches

·         Monitor employee medical reimbursement

·         Perform other accounting and finance-related tasks as assigned by the Accounting Head

Qualifications

·         Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy

·         Must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA)

·         At least 1-2 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a financing, banking or lending environment

·         Strong understanding of Philippine tax regulations and compliance requirements

·         Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other MS Applications

·         Strong analytical and numerical skills

·         Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

·         Good communication and interpersonal skills

·         Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

·         Can work on-site 5 days/week in Ayala, Makati City

·         Willing to start ASAP
