Accounting Officer

Key Responsibilities

1. Handle daily cash and bank transactions, including payments, collections and reconciliation.

2. Review, verify and process employee reimbursement claims in compliance with internal procedures.

3. Handle invoices, vouchers, data entry and monthly account reconciliation.

4. Prepare basic financial worksheets and internal reporting materials with accuracy and timeliness.

5. Support month-end closing, audit preparation, tax filings and other finance-related assignments.

6. Maintain confidentiality and proper filing of financial documents in accordance with internal and regulatory requirements.

7. Provide support on other day-to-day finance matters to ensure smooth departmental operations.

Requirements

1. Diploma or above in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.

2. One year or above of relevant accounting or cashier experience; outstanding fresh graduates will also be considered.

3. Good understanding of basic accounting principles.

4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

5. Strong sense of responsibility, careful and conscientious, with strong numerical sense and logical thinking.

6. Honest, reliable and able to handle sensitive financial information.

7. Good communication and teamwork skills; able to work independently when required.

8. Able to communicate in Cantonese for daily work. The interview will include a Cantonese conversation segment.

Preferred

1. Knowledge of Hong Kong accounting and tax regulations.

2. Experience with accounting software.

3. Experience in insurance, financial or professional services.

4. Written and spoken Mandarin and English.
