Accounting Officer

• Manage and Record Pawned Assets & Inventory: Record and verify all transactions for forfeited pawned assets, gold, diamond/gemstone jewelry, and other inventory—including receipts, sales, and transfers—within the ERP system accurately and in a timely manner.
• Costing & Asset Valuation: Calculate Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), perform accounting adjustments, verify appraisal/purchase prices, and evaluate allowances for obsolete, slow-moving, or aged inventory in compliance with corporate financial policies.
• Plan & Lead Branch Physical Audits: Plan, oversee, and conduct physically-counted stock audits (Physical Count / Stock Audit) across branches nationwide in collaboration with the Internal Audit and Warehouse teams.
• Reconciliation & Variance Analysis: Reconcile inventory records between the accounting system and branch/warehouse stock reports. Investigate causes for any discrepancies—such as missing items or weight variations in gold/diamonds—and execute necessary adjustments.
• Inventory Reporting for Executive Decision-Making: Prepare and analyze inventory valuation reports, categorized summaries of forfeited assets, and turnover rate analyses to support executive management and sales teams in strategic decision-making.
• Internal Control & Branch Coordination: Develop and refine Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for asset handling, storage, and transfers between branches and the central warehouse to minimize operational risks and loss, while coordinating closely with audit teams, warehouse staff, and branch managers.

Work Experience

• 3–5+ years of professional experience in Inventory Accounting, Stock Accounting, or Cost Accounting.
• Proven supervisory experience with a history of managing at least 2 direct reports.
• Experience in retail, multi-branch operations, gold/jewelry, or pawnshop business is highly advantageous.

Technical & Professional Skills

• Strong knowledge of accounting standards related to inventory management, asset valuation, and COGS calculations.
• Proficient in using ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Express, Dynamics 365, or specialized inventory management systems).
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Complex Formulas) for data reconciliation and analysis.
