Accounting Officer

The Role

We are looking for a proactive and forward-looking professional to join our small accounting team. In this role, you will play a key role in executing and optimising day-to-day workflows and processes across our Accounting and HR functions.  If you enjoy finding new ways  to simplify repetitive tasks, improve accounting accuracy, and uncover insights into business performance, this is for you.

Job Description

• Core Accounting Processes &  Workflows: Manage and execute day-to-day accounting operations including monthly bookkeeping and management accounts. Work with senior management and the IT department to optimize/automate related processes.
• Financial Reporting: Compile financial reports to monitor business performance, identify operational issues, and provide related insights to senior management.
• Financial Budgeting: Formulate spreadsheets/Excel models to support financial forecasting and planning.
• Compliance & Audit: Ensure statutory compliance and serve as the primary contact for external auditors, tax advisors, and banking partners.
• HR Management: Manage payroll, MPF, tax filings, and benefits. Oversee onboarding, offboarding, leave, and staff records

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in audit, group finance, consolidation, or financial reporting.
• Strong knowledge in Excel. Familiarity with Google Sheets (formulas, dynamic modeling) & Google Apps Script/AI automation an advantage.
• Language: Fluent in spoken and written English and Cantonese.
