Accounting Officer

About the role

The Accounting Officer is responsible for managing and maintaining accurate financial records, processing accounting transactions, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with company policies, Philippine Accounting Standards, and Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) requirements. The position supports the company's day-to-day accounting operations and ensures that all financial and tax-related obligations are properly recorded, filed, and paid on time.

Key responsibilities

• Record and maintain accurate financial transactions and accounting records.
• Prepare journal entries, general ledger accounts, and account reconciliations.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
• Prepare bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Review invoices, receipts, vouchers, and other supporting documents for accuracy and completeness.
• Ensure proper recording and documentation of business expenses and transactions.
• Prepare and monitor BIR tax returns and ensure timely filing and payment of applicable taxes.
• Maintain and organize BIR-related documents, books of accounts, invoices, receipts, and other required records.
• Ensure compliance with BIR registration, invoicing, withholding tax, VAT/percentage tax, income tax, and other applicable tax requirements.

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• At least 1–3 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Knowledge of Philippine accounting principles and BIR tax compliance requirements.
• Experience in preparing and filing BIR tax returns is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of withholding tax, VAT, income tax, and other applicable Philippine taxes.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines and work independently.
• High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
