Accounting Officer

Our client is a well-established Cyprus-based company specialising in premium shading and outdoor shelter solutions. On be half of them we are currently seeking an Accounting Officer.

• Working Hours: Monday – Friday 08:00-16:30 / Half an hour brake is included from 13:00 to 13:30

Responsibilities

• Record and review accounting entries and supporting documents
• Issue and record invoices, receipts and credit notes
• Monitor and reconcile customer and supplier accounts
• Perform bank reconciliations and monitor banking transactions
• Monitor incoming and outgoing payments
• Review and reconcile account balances
• Prepare monthly and other financial statements and reports
• Assist with the preparation of VAT returns and other tax obligations
• File and organise accounting records and supporting documents
• Communicate with customers, suppliers, banks and external associates when required
• Provide support for the general operations of the Accounting Department

Requirements

• Degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• A minimum of two years of previous experience in an accounting department is essential
• Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Very good command of Greek and good command of English
• Good knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
• Strong organisational and record-keeping skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy when entering data
• Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
• Discretion and professionalism when handling financial and personal data
