Accounting Officer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Officer to join our team at Capex Finance & Investment Corp. This is a full-time position based in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City, Metro Manila. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. As an Accounting Officer, you will be responsible for the day-to-day accounting operations that support the financial health and strategic decision-making of our organisation.

What you'll be doing

• Recording and processing financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries
• Preparing and reconciling bank statements, expense reports, and financial statements
• Ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial records and supporting documentation
• Assisting in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
• Performing account reconciliations and identifying and resolving discrepancies
• Supporting the audit process by providing required documentation and explanations
• Maintaining organised filing systems for financial records and ensuring compliance with data retention policies
• Liaising with external auditors, tax authorities, and other stakeholders as required
• Assisting with accounts analysis and variance investigations
• Contributing to the continuous improvement of accounting processes and internal controls

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Minimum of 2-3 years' experience in accounting operations or financial accounting roles
• Strong proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Comprehensive knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and accounting standards
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment
• Professional certification such as CPA or relevant accounting qualifications (preferred)
• Experience in finance and investment sectors (advantageous)
