Accounting Officer

Responsibilities

• Assist in corporate accounting , which includes the preparation of financial statements and management reporting, as well as supporting statutory audits
• Assist in fund accounting and related fund operations, which includes portfolio valuations and reconciliations, as well as expense and broker soft commission tracking
• Support Transfer Agency ( TA ) tasks, including processes related to investor/client onboarding, Know Your Customer ( KYC ) and Anti-Money Laundering ( AML ) checks
• Support routine regulatory compliance and firmwide administrative tasks, as needed

Requirements

• At least a Level 2 (or equivalent) in five (5) subjects in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) (including English Language, Chinese Language, and Mathematics) is required
• A diploma or equivalent in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, Law, or related disciplines would be a plus
• Bookkeeping and Accounting Level (LCCI) Level I, II, III, certificate in legal studies and/or other relevant professional qualifications would be an advantage
• At least two (2) years of relevant work experience in a role that supports fund / business operations in connection with corporate accounting (particularly, financial statement preparation), fund accounting, or related roles in financial auditing and taxation would be preferred
• Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese , with a good proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, detail oriented and well-organized
• Team player, who possesses a strong sense of responsibility and the ability to work well under pressure
