Accounting Officer

The Accounting Officer keeps the books accurate day to day: recording transactions, reconciling premium and commission accounts, and preparing tax and statutory filings.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare premium remittance schedules to insurers and reconcile insurer statements of account.

• Compute and record commission income; track commissions receivable and flag overdue items.

• Monitor client receivables, prepare ageing reports and coordinate collection follow-ups with account handlers.

• Process payables and prepare check vouchers and online payments for approval.

• Perform monthly bank reconciliations, including the client premium account.

• Prepare BIR returns and attachments (VAT, withholding and income tax) and government remittances for SSS, PhilHealth and Pag-IBIG.

• Assist in month-end closing, schedules for the financial statements and Insurance Commission reports.

• Prepare audit schedules and retrieve supporting documents for external auditors.

• Maintain orderly, complete accounting files in line with retention rules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or related course; CPA an advantage.

• 2 to 4 years of general accounting experience, including tax filings.

• Experience with an insurance broker, agency or insurer preferred.

• Familiar with BIR eFPS/eBIRForms

• Proficient in MSExcel.

• Accurate, organized and reliable with deadlines; trustworthy with confidential and client-fund information.

Pay: Php28,000.00 - Php40,000.00 per month
