Accounting Officer

About the role

An Accounting Officer role within a Foreign Currency Exchange Business, responsible for recording and managing daily accounting transactions, financial reconciliations, and compliance with accounting and tax regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Record daily accounting transactions, including foreign currency exchange transactions, income, and expenses
• Reconcile daily cash balances and foreign currency holdings
• Verify bank statements and perform bank reconciliations
• Prepare daily financial reports and exchange profit/loss reports
• Prepare accounting documents, tax reports, and supporting schedules
• Assist with monthly closing and financial statement preparation
• Ensure the accuracy and completeness of accounting records
• Maintain proper documentation and comply with internal control procedures
• Support compliance with applicable accounting, tax, and financial regulations

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills
• Honest, responsible, and able to maintain financial confidentiality
• Previous accounting experience is preferred
• Experience in a foreign currency exchange business is an advantage
• Knowledge of internal controls and financial transaction documentation is an advantage
