As our Accounting Operations Controller, you’ll be the steady hand behind accurate reporting, disciplined processes, and a high-performing accounting function that supports the business every day.

What your day might look like

• Own the full accounting cycle—accounts payable, accounts receivable, and the general ledger—ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and executive-ready reports; walk senior leaders through variances and drivers.
• Safeguard compliance with local, state, and federal regulations while aligning practices to GAAP and company policy.
• Design, document, and refine financial policies and procedures that improve control and efficiency.
• Lead annual budgets and rolling forecasts, delivering practical guidance to optimize performance.
• Coordinate the annual audit end-to-end, collaborating closely with external auditors.
• Monitor cash flow daily and manage banking relationships to make the most of our financial resources.
• Coach, develop, and supervise accounting staff, fostering a mindset of continuous improvement.

What you bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related discipline.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience within construction or a comparable industry.
• Deep knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
• Strong Excel skills and fluency with accounting software; ERP experience is a plus.
• Exceptional analytical rigor and attention to detail.
• Trusted leader and communicator who works effectively across functions and levels.
• Ability to operate independently and juggle multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.
