ACCOUNTING SPECIALIST

About the role

The Accounting Specialist is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and supporting the preparation of financial reports in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements (BIR, SEC, and other applicable government agencies).

Key responsibilities

• Record and maintain day-to-day financial transactions (accounts payable, accounts receivable, disbursements, collections)
• Prepare and process billing, invoices, official receipts, and other accounting documents
• Reconcile bank statements, subsidiary ledgers, and general ledger accounts
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports
• Prepare and file statutory and tax requirements (VAT, withholding tax, income tax) in coordination with the Accounting Supervisor
• Monitor and process employee reimbursements, liquidations, and cash advances
• Support budget preparation, cost monitoring, and variance analysis
• Maintain proper filing and documentation of financial records for audit and compliance purposes
• Coordinate with Purchasing, Warehouse and Logistics, and Construction Management for cost tracking and accruals
• Assist in internal and external audits by providing requested documentation

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Accounting Technology, Finance, or related field
• At least 1–3 years of relevant accounting experience
• Working knowledge of Philippine accounting standards, BIR regulations, and tax compliance requirements
• Proficient in MS Excel and accounting/ERP software
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills
• Ability to handle confidential financial information with integrity
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Able to work under deadlines, especially during month-end and year-end closing periods
