Accounting Specialist

Overview

Evolve Infrastructure Group is a rapidly growing heavy civil construction company with projects across Colorado and Arizona. We are seeking a Part-Time Bookkeeper to manage day-to-day bookkeeping operations while maintaining accurate financial records and supporting company growth.

This is a hands-on, in-office position located in Falcon, Colorado, with the opportunity to transition into a full-time role. Our ideal candidate is pursuing their CPA and interested in long-term advancement into a Controller or CFO position as the company continues to expand.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day bookkeeping, including general ledger maintenance
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial closes
• Complete bank and credit card reconciliations
• Maintain accurate job cost tracking across multiple projects and cost centers
• Support payroll coordination and financial reporting
• Maintain accurate financial records within QuickBooks Online Advanced
• Ensure proper coding of expenses, job allocations, and cost classifications
• Identify and resolve discrepancies to maintain accurate financial records
• Assist with financial reporting for company leadership
• Support external partners (CPA, auditors, etc.) as needed

Qualifications

• Previous bookkeeping or accounting experience required, preferably in construction or a similar industry
• Experience with QuickBooks Online Advanced required
• Understanding of job costing and multi-project accounting
• Experience with financial reconciliations and reporting
• Proficiency in Excel
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, growing company
• Currently pursuing a CPA or accounting-related degree preferred
• Interest in transitioning into a full-time position with long-term growth into Controller/CFO leadership
• Must be able to work in person at our Falcon, Colorado office

Pay: $55,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
