Accounting Specialist (Project Based)

Job Summary

The role will primarily focus on recording and encoding accounting transactions into the accounting system. Most accounting documents are in Spanish, candidates must have prior experience handling Spanish-language documents or be willing to work with and process Spanish documents.

This position is ideal for candidates with 1–2 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience who are detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable performing repetitive data-entry and transaction-recording tasks accurately.

Key Responsibilities

• Encode and record accounting transactions accurately into the accounting system.
• Review Spanish accounting documents and input relevant information into the system.
• Process invoices, receipts, payment records, and other accounting documents as assigned.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of encoded transactions.
• Organize and maintain accounting records and supporting documents.
• Verify information and flag discrepancies or missing details when necessary.
• Follow established accounting procedures and data-entry guidelines.
• Assist the accounting team with other basic bookkeeping and administrative tasks as required.
• Maintain confidentiality of financial and client information.
• Complete assigned tasks within required deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
• 1–2 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience is sufficient.
• Basic knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping processes.
• Previous experience handling Spanish-language accounting documents is an advantage.
• Comfortable performing data entry and repetitive encoding tasks with a high level of accuracy.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, or similar tools.
• Willingness to learn and use the client's accounting system.
• Able to work independently and meet deadlines.
