About the role

8Sphere Distribution Corp. is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounting Staff/AR (Accounts Receivable) to join our finance team in Dagupan City, Pangasinan. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in maintaining the financial health and operational efficiency of our organisation. As Accounting Staff/AR, you will be responsible for managing our accounts receivable functions, ensuring accurate financial records, and supporting the smooth flow of cash throughout the company. This role is integral to our finance department and directly contributes to the company's profitability and growth objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Process and record customer invoices and billing documents with accuracy and timeliness
• Monitor and manage customer accounts to ensure timely payment collection
• Prepare and send invoices, statements and collection notices to customers
• Follow up on outstanding payments and manage the collection process professionally and effectively
• Reconcile accounts receivable records and identify discrepancies or payment issues
• Maintain detailed records of all transactions, payments and credit adjustments
• Assist in credit limit reviews and credit approval processes for new and existing customers
• Prepare accounts receivable aging reports and analysis for management review
• Support the month-end and year-end closing processes
• Communicate with customers regarding payment terms, invoicing queries and account status
• Assist in the development and maintenance of AR policies and procedures

What we're looking for

• Completed diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• Proven experience in accounts receivable, credit control or general accounting functions
• Strong proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting
• Excellent numerical and analytical skills with a high degree of accuracy
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices relevant to AR management
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective customer interaction
• Professional and courteous manner when dealing with customers and internal stakeholders
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate financial records
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
• Knowledge of payment processing methods and banking procedures is advantageous
