Accounting Staff

About the role

LEC Steel Manufacturing Corp. is seeking a full-time Accounting Staff to join our finance team in Quezon City, Metro Manila. This is an essential position within our organisation, responsible for supporting the day-to-day accounting operations and maintaining accurate financial records. As Accounting Staff, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth functioning of our bookkeeping and accounting processes, contributing directly to the financial health and compliance of the company.

What you'll be doing

• Recording and processing daily financial transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Maintaining and reconciling general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Preparing bank reconciliations and investigating discrepancies
• Assisting with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Processing employee expense reports and ensuring proper documentation and approval
• Supporting the preparation of tax returns and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
• Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including invoice processing and payment scheduling
• Maintaining organised filing systems for financial documents and records
• Assisting with audit preparations and providing supporting documentation as required
• Performing other accounting duties and special projects as assigned by management

What we're looking for

• A secondary school certificate or equivalent qualification, with preferably some post-secondary accounting education or certification
• Proven experience in bookkeeping, accounts payable, or general accounting functions
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in financial record-keeping
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and generally accepted accounting practices
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team
• Reliability and a professional approach to handling confidential financial information
• Familiarity with Philippine tax regulations and compliance requirements is advantageous
