ACCOUNTING STAFF

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounting Staff to join the team at IDENICO COMPUTER CORP in Mandaluyong City, Metro Manila. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the overall financial health of our organisation. As an Accounting Staff member, you will be responsible for processing financial transactions, reconciling accounts, and assisting in the preparation of financial reports. This position is essential to ensuring compliance with accounting standards and contributing to the organisation's strategic financial objectives.

What you'll be doing

• Recording and processing daily financial transactions, including invoices, receipts, and expense claims
• Reconciling bank statements and general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Preparing and maintaining detailed accounting records and documentation
• Assisting in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
• Verifying and coding transactions for accurate posting to the general ledger
• Supporting the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
• Conducting routine audits of financial records to identify and resolve discrepancies
• Liaising with internal departments and external parties to clarify transaction details and resolve accounting queries
• Maintaining confidentiality and adhering to data protection protocols
• Assisting with month-end and year-end closing procedures

What we're looking for

• A qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (such as a diploma or degree level qualification)
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel, with strong spreadsheet and data analysis skills
• Sound understanding of accounting principles, generally accepted accounting practices (GAAP), and financial reporting standards
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and correct errors in financial records
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Clear communication skills and the ability to work effectively with colleagues across different departments
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to continuous improvement
• Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, or general ledger management is advantageous
• Previous experience working in an accounting department or financial services environment is preferred
