ACCOUNTING STAFF

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounting Staff to join the finance team at Jevant Technologies in Quezon City, Metro Manila. This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our financial records. As an Accounting Staff member, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and contributing to the overall financial health of the organisation. This role is essential in providing reliable financial information to support management decision-making and stakeholder reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Recording financial transactions accurately in the general ledger and maintaining detailed transaction records
• Preparing and processing accounts payable and accounts receivable documentation
• Reconciling bank statements, ledger accounts, and subsidiary accounts on a regular basis
• Assisting in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Supporting the audit process by organising and presenting required financial documentation
• Processing payroll information and ensuring accurate timekeeping records
• Maintaining comprehensive filing systems and ensuring proper documentation of all financial transactions
• Identifying and resolving discrepancies in financial records and investigating outstanding items
• Supporting the implementation and compliance of accounting policies and procedures
• Assisting senior accounting staff with month-end and year-end closing activities
• Performing general administrative duties to support the accounting department

What we're looking for

• Associate degree or bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting
• Strong understanding of fundamental accounting principles, including the double-entry system and the accounting cycle
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in handling numerical data
• Solid organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
• Knowledge of Philippine tax regulations and accounting standards is advantageous
• Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information
• Proactive problem-solving approach and willingness to learn new accounting systems and processes
• Prior experience in an accounting or finance role is preferred but not essential for the right candidate
