About the role

OPARAN PHILS OPC is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Accounting Staff to join our Finance team in Calamba City, Laguna. This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our financial records. As an Accounting Staff member, you will support the preparation and maintenance of financial reports, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and contributing to the overall financial health of the organisation. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your expertise in financial accounting and reporting within a professional and collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Recording financial transactions accurately in the general ledger and subsidiary accounts
• Payroll , sales report BIR , PEZA knowledge is an advantage.
• Preparing and reconciling bank statements, cash accounts, and other balance sheet items
• Assisting in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Processing accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
• Performing data entry and maintaining detailed financial records using Ms excel
• Supporting the audit process by preparing documentation and schedules as required
• Identifying and resolving discrepancies in financial records
• Assisting with period-end closing procedures and accrual adjustments
• Contributing to the maintenance of internal controls and compliance with accounting policies
• Supporting senior accounting staff with various ad-hoc accounting tasks and projects

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to work with complex spreadsheets
• Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy
• Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team
• Prior experience in financial accounting or reporting roles is highly desirable
