Accounting Staff

Suresource International Trading Inc. is looking for an organized and detail-oriented Accountant who can develop and maintain a reliable system for tracking all expenses across our fit-out construction, renovation, and modular cabinet projects.

The successful candidate will monitor each project’s budget, purchases, cash advances, subcontractor billings, labor expenses, and other costs. The role will help management clearly determine each project’s actual cost, remaining budget, profitability, and financial status.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and improve the company’s project expense-monitoring and cost-accounting system
• Record and classify expenses according to project, cost category, supplier, and date
• Monitor project budgets against actual expenses and committed costs
• Track purchase orders, supplier invoices, delivery receipts, official receipts, and payment requests
• Monitor cash advances, site expenses, reimbursements, and employee liquidations
• Track subcontractor billings, progress payments, retention, and remaining balances
• Coordinate with the Purchasing, Engineering, Warehouse, and Project Management teams to verify expenses
• Ensure that all expenses have complete and valid supporting documents
• Reconcile project records with accounting books, bank transactions, and supplier statements
• Prepare regular budget-versus-actual, project cost, cash-flow, and profitability reports
• Identify unrecorded, duplicated, unsupported, or incorrectly allocated expenses
• Monitor accounts payable and upcoming payment obligations for each project
• Organize physical and digital accounting records for easy retrieval and audit
• Assist with general accounting, tax documentation, and management reports when needed
• Recommend internal controls and procedures to improve financial accountability

Qualifications

• Graduate of Accountancy, Accounting Technology, Financial Management, or a related course
• Relevant experience in accounting, bookkeeping, cost control, or project expense monitoring
• Experience in construction, interior fit-out, renovation, manufacturing, or modular cabinetry is highly preferred
• Strong knowledge of project costing, accounts payable, expense classification, and document reconciliation
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets, including formulas, summaries, and tracking reports
• Able to create organized accounting systems and improve existing processes
• Highly detail-oriented, trustworthy, analytical, and capable of handling confidential financial information
• Able to coordinate effectively with project teams, suppliers, subcontractors, and management
• CPA license is an advantage but is not required; relevant experience and proven ability are more important
