Be part of our Accounting team and play an important role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of accounts payable, account reconciliation, tax compliance, and financial record keeping. This role offers hands-on exposure to various accounting processes while working closely with the Senior Accounting Specialist and General Accounting Section Head.

What You’ll Be Doing:

1. Performs initial review of Payment Request Forms (PRFs), Purchase Orders (POs), Goods Receipts (GRs), Sales Invoices, contracts, and internal memos to ensure valid, complete, and authorized documentation prior to processing.
2. Perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, and recording accounts payable data.
3. Perform internal reconciliation of General Ledger accounts, Business Partner accounts (subsidiary ledgers).
4. Verify and investigate discrepancies, if any, by reconciling vendor accounts and monthly vendor statements.
5. Analyse the proper accounting entries to be used for the transactions and assigns the appropriate General Ledger (GL) accounts for each line item.  This includes understanding of the expense accounts and cost centers for correct recording of transactions.
6. Validates accurate tagging withholding taxes, including correct calculation of such taxes.
7. Checks and verify liquidations on cash advances and reimbursements of expenses. Prepares journal entries to record the liquidations of employees for review of General Accounting Section Head and approval of Finance Controller.
8. Preparation and filling of monthly and quarterly BIR returns/forms and reports with supporting schedules.
9. Performs bookkeeping or maintaining manual general ledgers, cash position sheets, and journal entry schedules in Excel for non-operating or low-volume entities.
10. Manages manual check preparation, voucher generation, and tracking for non-SAP entities.

What We’re Looking For:

• Has a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or any business-related course.
• With at least 1 year of experience, particularly in Accounts Payable processing.
• Has hands-on experience with MS Excel spreadsheets and accounting software/programs.
• Good understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and accounting practices.
• Basic analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in MS Office applications, particularly Excel.
• Knowledge of SAP is an advantage.
• Familiarity with General Ledger accounts, Business Partner/subsidiary ledgers, withholding taxes, and account reconciliation is an advantage.
• Must have a high level of integrity and accountability, with the ability to handle sensitive financial information and vendor details with strict confidentiality and discretion.
