ACCOUNTING STAFF

Job Summary

The Accounting Staff is responsible for assisting in the daily accounting operations of the company, maintaining accurate financial records, preparing accounting reports, and ensuring compliance with BIR and other government requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accounting records, vouchers, invoices, receipts, and other financial documents.
• Prepare and assist in the filing of BIR Forms, tax returns, and other tax-related reports.
• Monitor and compute VAT, withholding taxes, EWT, and other applicable taxes.
• Ensure timely and accurate submission of BIR and government compliance reports.
• Assist in bookkeeping and recording of daily financial transactions.
• Reconcile cash, bank accounts, receivables, payables, and other accounting records.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly and periodic financial reports.
• Verify supporting documents and ensure that transactions are properly authorized and recorded.
• Maintain organized and updated accounting files and records.
• Coordinate with other departments regarding accounting documents and financial concerns.
• Assist during BIR audits, government inspections, and other accounting-related requirements.
• Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor or management.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Accountancy, Accounting Technology, Financial Management, or related course.
• Knowledgeable in BIR Forms, taxation, bookkeeping, and tax compliance.
• Familiar with VAT, withholding taxes, EWT, and other applicable taxes.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software/systems.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and accurate in handling financial records.
• Able to meet deadlines and work with minimal supervision.
• Previous accounting or tax-related experience is an advantage.
