About the role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Accounting Staff member to join our dynamic accounting department at our Cubao Quezon City office in Metro Manila. This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in supporting the financial operations of our clients and our organisation. As Accounting Staff, you will be responsible for performing essential accounting functions, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulatory requirements. This position offers the opportunity to work with diverse clients, develop your accounting expertise, and contribute meaningfully to the success of our outsourcing operations.

What you'll be doing

• Recording financial transactions, including invoices, receipts, and payments, in the accounting system with accuracy and attention to detail
• Reconciling bank statements, ledger accounts, and other financial records to identify and resolve discrepancies
• Preparing and processing accounts payable and accounts receivable documentation
• Assisting with the preparation of financial statements, trial balances, and monthly reconciliations
• Maintaining organised filing systems for financial documents, both physical and digital, ensuring easy retrieval and compliance with record-keeping standards
• Supporting the accounts team with data entry, verification, and validation tasks
• Responding to routine accounting inquiries from clients and internal stakeholders
• Ensuring all accounting work is completed in a timely manner and meets quality standards
• Assisting with audit preparation and providing documentation as requested
• Collaborating with team members to resolve accounting issues and improve processes

What we're looking for

• A qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, such as a Bachelor's degree, Associate degree, or relevant professional certification (ACCA, CA, or equivalent)
• Proven experience working as an Accounts Officer, Accounts Clerk, or in a similar accounting support role, ideally within an accounting firm or outsourcing environment
• Strong proficiency with accounting software and systems, such as QuickBooks, SAP, Xero, or similar platforms
• Competent knowledge of accounting principles, generally accepted accounting practices (GAAP), and basic financial reporting requirements
• Excellent numerical and analytical skills with the ability to identify errors and discrepancies
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to work with formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in all accounting work
• Reliable communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information responsibly
• Familiarity with the Philippine tax and accounting regulations is an advantage
• Willingness to learn and develop your skills in accounting practices and systems
