About the role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Accounting Staff member to join our Finance Department in Valenzuela City, Metro Manila. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in maintaining the financial health and compliance of Ace Logistics and Allied Solutions, Inc. You will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial records, and supporting the broader finance team in delivering reliable financial reporting and analysis. This role is essential to our commitment to maintaining transparent and accurate financial practices across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Recording and posting daily financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries
• Preparing and reconciling bank statements, cash receipts and disbursement records
• Assisting with the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and reports
• Processing invoices, purchase orders and expense reports in a timely and accurate manner
• Maintaining and organising financial records and supporting documentation in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements
• Verifying the accuracy and completeness of financial data and identifying and resolving discrepancies
• Supporting payroll processing and ensuring accurate employee compensation records
• Assisting with tax compliance and the preparation of required tax documentation
• Performing account reconciliations and assisting with internal and external audits
• Supporting the finance team with ad hoc projects and special assignments as required

What we're looking for

• At least 1-2 years of meaningful experience in accounting, specifically in R2R and P2P transactions.
• A diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field, or equivalent professional qualification
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word
• Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles, generally accepted accounting practices (GAAP) and relevant Philippine tax regulations
• Excellent attention to detail with a proven ability to maintain accuracy whilst managing multiple tasks
• Solid organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise workload effectively
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
• Integrity and reliability, with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality of financial information
• Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving financial discrepancies
• Relevant experience in accounting operations or financial reporting roles is preferred, though candidates with strong foundational knowledge and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.
• Willing to report to our office in Valenzuela.
