Accounting Staff

About the role

Filoil Logistics Corporation is seeking an Accounting Staff to join our Finance team on a full-time basis. This position is based in Mandaluyong City, Metro Manila. As an Accounting Staff, you will play a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the organisation's financial operations. This is a key position that ensures compliance with accounting standards and contributes to the overall financial health and reporting accuracy of the company.

What you'll be doing

• Recording and processing financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries
• Reconciling bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial accounts on a regular basis
• Preparing and maintaining accurate financial documentation and records in accordance with company policies and accounting standards
• Assisting in the preparation of financial statements and reports for management review
• Supporting month-end and year-end closing procedures
• Verifying and coding invoices and expense reports for accuracy and proper authorisation
• Performing data entry and maintaining spreadsheets with financial information
• Collaborating with other finance team members and departments to ensure timely and accurate financial processing
• Supporting audit activities by providing necessary documentation and explanations
• Assisting with cash management and payment processing activities

What we're looking for

• A relevant qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (such as an Associate Degree, Bachelor's Degree, or professional certification in accounting)
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and financial reporting standards
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel; experience with accounting packages such as SAP, QuickBooks, or similar systems is advantageous
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping
• Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks
• Solid understanding of general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable processes
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
• Reliability, integrity, and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality of financial information
• Previous experience in an accounting role or similar finance-related position is preferred
• Knowledge of logistics or supply chain industry financial operations is a plus
