Accounting Staff

About the role

Accounting Staff position at COSONSA MANUFACTURING., INC. responsible for recording, maintaining, and analyzing financial records, preparing accounting reports, and ensuring compliance with taxation and statutory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Record and maintain daily accounting entries in the books of accounts and ensure accuracy and completeness of the financial records.
• Prepare monthly schedules of accounts and assist in preparing financial statements and other accounting reports.
• Analyze outstanding accounts to facilitate timely collection and payments and coordinate with concerned parties to address discrepancies and necessary clarifications.
• Summarize daily and monthly purchases and prepare journal entries for cash disbursement and ensure supporting documents are accurate such as sales invoice, service invoice, billing statement and verify the receipt of purchased goods against issued receiving reports.
• Record and monitor daily petty cash transactions and summarize for replenishment and coordinate with the cashier to ensure proper documentation and accountability of petty cash funds.
• Assist in preparing, compiling, and reconciling schedules of accounts and supporting documentation required for the year-end audit, ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and timely submission of audit requirements.
• Prepare, process, and file government statutory and tax compliance requirements, including monthly, quarterly, and annual returns and reports submitted to the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR), Social Security System (SSS), Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth), Home Development Mutual Fund (Pag-IBIG), and other relevant government agencies.

About you

• Bachelor's or College Degree in Accountancy, Management Accounting or an Accountancy-related course
• Experience as an accountant or bookkeeper is an advantage
• Knowledgeable in basic accounting and financial systems
• Knowledgeable in taxation and other periodic statutory requirements of various government agencies
• Fast learner, flexible, and keen on details
• Mature, high sense of responsibility, well-organized
• Can work under pressure and with minimum supervision
• Hardworking and reliable
• Highly organized and detail-oriented
