Accounting Supervisor

The Accounting Supervisor will oversee day-to-day accounting operations, ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial records, supervise accounting staff, and assist management in financial reporting and analysis.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

* Supervise and monitor the daily activities of the Accounting Team.

* Review and verify accounting transactions, journal entries, invoices, receipts, and supporting documents.

* Ensure accurate recording and reconciliation of accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash, and other accounting accounts.

* Prepare and review monthly financial reports and schedules.

* Perform bank, cash, and balance sheet reconciliations.

* Monitor and ensure timely completion of month-end and year-end closing activities.

* Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.

* Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, BIR requirements, and other applicable government regulations.

* Coordinate with external auditors, banks, suppliers, and other stakeholders when necessary.

* Establish and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets.

* Identify accounting discrepancies and recommend appropriate corrective actions.

* Provide guidance, coaching, and performance feedback to accounting staff.

* Assist the Accounting Manager and management in financial and accounting-related projects.

* Perform other accounting-related duties that may be assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

* Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

* At least 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience, with supervisory experience preferred.

* Strong knowledge of general accounting principles and financial reporting.

* Experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliation, and month-end closing.

* Knowledge of BIR rules and tax compliance is an advantage.

* Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.

* Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

* Good communication and leadership skills.

* Able to work independently and meet deadlines.

* Experience in the restaurant, food service, retail, or multi-branch environment is an advantage.
