Accounting Supervisor

This is an accounting leadership position responsible for overseeing financial operations, compliance, and team management. The role involves reviewing and approving financial transactions, ensuring regulatory compliance, preparing financial reports, and supervising accounting staff.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Financials and Compliance

• Review and approve Check Vouchers
• Review and approve Journal Vouchers
• Conduct periodic financial reviews and QuickBooks review
• Review and audit Accounts Receivable transactions and balances
• Prepare budget for BIR reporting
• Review monthly Bank Reconciliations
• Oversee the review and filing of Audited Financial Statements
• Monitor and ensure compliance with government agency requirements
• Prepare grower's performance reports and memos on guaranteed pay
• Reconcile feeds delivery with suppliers for service charge and rebate computation

Regulatory and Statutory Compliance

• Oversee monthly and quarterly compliance filings (1601C, 0619E, 1601EQ with QAP attachments,
  GIS, GFFS/FS, SLSP)
• Prepare quarterly and annual compliance: Annual Financial Statements, Income Tax Return (ITR), and
  Value Added Tax Return

Budgeting and Financial Reporting

• Lead the preparation of operational budgets
• Prepare financial projections and simulations
• Handle internal farm budgeting

Supervision and Team Leadership

• Supervise and mentor the Accounts Payable Specialist, Accounts Receivable Specialist, and General
  Accountant
• Participate in hiring and performance evaluation of accounting staff
• Approve leave requests, OB forms, and log updates for team members
• Facilitate training and professional development of the accounting team

Accounting Systems and Process Improvement

• Assist in evaluating and implementing accounting software upgrades
• Recommend process automation and digital improvements

QUALIFICATION

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy (BS Accountancy)
• Must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
• 5–10 years of relevant accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of BIR compliance, financial reporting, and audit processes
• Proven supervisory or team leadership experience
• Proficient in QuickBooks and other accounting software
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
