Accounting Supervisor

The Accounting Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements, and supervising accounting staff. The role supports management through timely financial analysis, budget monitoring, inventory accounting, and implementation of sound internal controls within the manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise day-to-day accounting activities, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fixed assets.
• Review accounting transactions to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with accounting standards.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
• Monitor cash flow and assist in financial planning activities.
• Ensure timely month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Review production costs, material usage, labor costs, and overhead allocations.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations, statutory requirements, and company policies.
• Prepare schedules and documents required for internal and external audits.
• Supervise, train, and mentor accounting staff.
• Assign tasks and monitor team performance to ensure deadlines are met.
• Develop and implement process improvements to enhance accounting efficiency.
• Generate management reports to support business decisions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Accounting Technology, Finance, or a related field.

• Minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory role.

• Strong background in financial reporting, cost accounting, and inventory management.

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is preferred but not required.

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.

• Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

• Strong leadership and team management abilities.

• High attention to detail and accuracy.
