Accounting Supervisor

About the role

Lead the Accounting function and ensure accurate, timely and compliant accounting operations, financial report and internal controls. The role will work closely with Finance and Revenue & Inventory units of FAD, other departments, auditors, and Group/ Management reporting teams.

Main responsibilities

• Lead and review month--end, quarter-end and year-end closing activities
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of accounting records, reconcilations and supporting schedules.
• Review financial information and support timely management and group reporting.
• Monitor accounting variances and outstanding items and timely resolution.
• Maintain and strengthen accounting controls and J-SOX requirements.
• Coordinate with external auditors and provide complete and timely audit schedules and support documents.
• Comply with tax and regulatory requirements in coordination with the Finance team.
• Identify and implement process improvements, standardization, and digitalization initiatives.
• Coordinate effectively with Finance, Revenue & Inventory, Operations, IT and other process owners.
• Lead, Coach and develop accounting team.

Qualifications & Requirements

-          Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or Accounting; CPA license is preferred.

-          At least 5–7 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably with supervisory or senior-level experience.

-          Strong experience in month-end/quarter-end closing, general ledger, account reconciliation, and financial reporting.

-          Good knowledge of Philippine accounting standards and financial reporting requirements.

-          Experience in external audit, tax compliance, and internal controls.

-          Knowledge or experience in J-SOX/SOX, ERP systems, and process improvement is an advantage.

-          Proficient in MS Excel and accounting/ERP systems; NetSuite experience is an advantage.

-          Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.

-          Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop an accounting team.

-          High level of integrity, accountability, attention to detail, and ownership of deadlines.
