Accounting Supervisor

About the role

Will be responsible for overseeing the general accounting team, ensuring the accuracy of financial statements, and directing the timely filing of all tax returns, attachments, and statutory submissions to the BIR. This role acts as the primary liaison during BIR audits and assessments.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily accounting activities and ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records
• Monitor and review accounting transactions, journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting documents
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
• Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and internal controls
• Coordinate with external auditors and support audit requirements
• Oversee the timely and accurate preparation and filing of monthly, quarterly, and annual BIR tax returns
• Manage eFPS (Electronic Filing and Payment System) and eSubmission (for Alphalist/RELIEF) systems
• Perform monthly input/output VAT reconciliations, expanded withholding tax reconciliation (2307), and compensation withholding tax (2316)
• Lead and prepare required documentation and schedules for BIR audits, assessments, and external audits
• Monitor and prepare requirements for the renewal of local business permits, BIR annual registration, and other regulatory licenses

About you

• Serve as the department point person in the absence of the Accounting Manager
• Handle urgent accounting concerns and operational decisions when delegated
• Coordinate with other department heads and management regarding finance-related matters
• Ensure continuity of accounting operations and compliance activities
