Accounting Supervisor

About the role

The Accounting Supervisor ensures that all financial and accounting operations within an accounting department run smoothly. They oversee the work of junior accounting staff, review financial statements to ensure accuracy, and reconcile general ledger accounts.

Key responsibilities

• Assist staff members in the preparation of monthly and quarterly accounting reports
• Identify potential cash flow problems and financial irregularities
• Check payroll and attachments, all government return and remittance reports
• Supervise and provide overall guidance to accounting associates
• Ensure that the company maintains compliance with accounting principles
• Adjust and correct daily journal entries
• Check lapsing for depreciation of property, plant and equipment (PPE)
• Attend meetings (weekly or monthly meetings) as required by immediate superior and other departments
• Suggest and participate in achieving department plans and goals
• Represent and promote positive image of the company both on and off the job

About you

• College Graduate Bachelor of Sciences in Accountancy

• 1 to 3 years experience in finance and accounting with supervisory position

• Organized

• General Math skills

• Analytical skills

• Leadership skills

• People Management Skills

• Computer literate

• Can handle multi task
