Accounting Supervisor

Dexian is assisting a client with an Accounting Supervisor search. This role is for a growing privately held organization is seeking an Accounting Manager to join its finance team. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with senior leadership while supporting the accounting, financial reporting, and operational finance functions of a dynamic and expanding business.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on accounting professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, building processes, and partnering with leadership to drive financial accuracy and business performance.

Position Overview

The Accounting Supervisor will support the leadership team in managing day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, compliance activities, and business process improvements. This individual will help ensure accurate financial records, maintain strong internal controls, and provide financial insights that support strategic business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, reconciliations, and general ledger activities
• Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
• Prepare and review financial statements and management reporting packages
• Monitor cash activity and support forecasting efforts
• Ensure compliance with financial and reporting requirements
• Maintain and improve accounting processes and internal controls
• Partner with internal and external stakeholders to support business objectives
• Assist with audits, financial reviews, and special projects
• Supervise and develop accounting team members

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• At least 2 years of progressive accounting experience
• CPA or CPA-track preferred
• Progressive accounting experience with increasing levels of responsibility
• Experience preparing financial statements and supporting month-end close
• Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting best practices
• Proficiency in ERP and accounting systems
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
