Accounting Supervisor

Salary/Pay Rate/Compensation: $55,000 annually, + Medical Plan + regular employee benefits

Shift: 1st - Monday to Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm

What’s a typical day as Accounting Supervisor? You’ll be:

• Supervising, guiding, and optimizing daily operations of the accounting staff for efficiency and quality
• Coordinating the complete accounting cycle, including reconciliations, monthly and annual closings, and financial statement preparation
• Ensuring compliance with Puerto Rico tax regulations by preparing and filing IVU returns, professional services retentions, municipal patents, and property taxes
• Overseeing payroll and accounts payable processes, providing support during staff absences
• Coordinating annual internal and external audits, preparing sales reports, and issuing financial reports to management
• Managing documentation for public bids, bonds, and government registry requirements

This Job Might Be An Outstanding Fit If You

• Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting or Finance (required)
• Have at least 3 years of experience in similar accounting or supervisory roles
• Possess strong knowledge of Puerto Rico’s tax framework and GAAP accounting principles
• Demonstrate leadership skills, excellent communication, confidentiality, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities
